Dare Wright’s photographs illustrated all of her children’s books. Those that went into print were the result of Dare’s magic in the darkroom, and her own production of the storyboards used by her book publishers.
Dare’s unique artistry in creating unforgettable storybook scenes is found on every page of her books. Dare’s book photos depicting live animals as extras required an infinite patience — and many outtakes — while she awaited the cooperation of her actors.
